What matters is that it reflects your personality as a couple and as an individual: just like the dress, the music must also be in harmony with the rest of the party. If it will be civil or a symbolic ritual, then the choice will be vast and can really include almost any type of pop or even rock song.

Music at the wedding is a fundamental component: try to imagine a party – because that’s what it is! – without musical entertainment … A moment without personality, without an identity.īut how to choose the music? Which songs to opt for? First of all, take into account the type of ceremony: if it will be religious, therefore in church, you will be able to range less in the pop music repertoire, choosing mainly church songs, even if lately some license is granted, inserting “secular” songs in the lineup. Here are some practical tips on which music to choose and our recommendations for your wedding playlist! Wedding Processional Theme: Canon and Gigue in D Major: I.Choosing music is a fundamental moment of the wedding: it highlights the best moments of the day and entertains, creating the right atmosphere. So here it is, for all who are interested! In the end we decided on Uptown Funk – which brought everyone on their feet when we danced our way into the dinner, and we thought that was one of the best decisions we have made. on the one hand, we wanted the entrance to be grand and sweet, but then we thought a fun, dancing song would fit our personalities better. In particular, we had the hardest time on the dinner march-in. we spent a lot of time, going back and forth on our processional and recessional themes, and dinner march-in songs. We’re glad that people liked the songs that we picked. so johnny told me that I should put up our wedding playlist for reference. a lot of requests were particularly on the bride entrance song – Beautiful in White by Shane Filan (Westlife), which apparently drove many ladies to tears when i walked down the aisle.

I hope to get the professional photos and videos soon so that I can post them up for everyone to relive the moments with us! as for now, i thought i’d pick a few of my favourite moments to post here.Īfter the wedding, we’ve had requests on the songs that were played during the day. and with le meridien’s amazing set up as well, the ambience of the dinner, as i remembered, was cozy and …for a lack of a better word … cute.
All i said was – “go, girls, i have these things, so just put them somewhere”. And of course, i did not give very clear directions as to what i wanted. When we changed the venue due to weather, they had to decorate a whole restaurant and rethink where the decorations should be placed. it was all ad hoc too, as we were initially supposed to have the dinner on the pier, and decorations would only be limited to the reception tables. I wonder, do brides take photos on their own phones/cameras on their wedding day? i sure did not even touch my phone that day, but i wish i did because i had wanted to capture the moments through my own eyes! one of the things i’m anxiously waiting for from korostudio are photos of my wedding dinner – i wasn’t able to find a lot of photos that captured the amazing job my bridesmaids and groomsmen did to decorate the dinner area. We are still eagerly (and also anxiously) looking forward to the professional photos from koro studio – and i know my mother definitely is anxious, as she’s been complaining every other day about “why is it taking so long for them!” … i think we are all waiting for the photos so that we could revive our memories a little, and relive the moment through their amazing captures. and i wish i was more present during my wedding to experience and take in all the fruits of our efforts! it was like a whirlwind of events on that day, and when i sat down to reflect afterwards, i regretfully couldn’t remember too much of the details – but of course, the feelings of joy and gratitude are still overwhelming. and i can’t believe i’m actually saying this, but i find myself having wedding withdrawal! i miss all the big and little things we did to plan the wedding – thinking about the decorations, putting together our invitations and gifts, etc. It’s been more than one month since our wedding in koh samui.
